Richfield is central Utah's crossroads: all of the "Mighty Five" national parks are within a day's drive, and Capitol Reef is just over an hour away. Closer to home, the San Rafael Swell offers the Wedge Overlook above the "Little Grand Canyon" and, in Buckhorn Wash, Barrier Canyon style pictographs, petroglyphs and a three-toed dinosaur track about 180 million years old. Further north, Nine Mile Canyon holds thousands of rock art panels and historic inscriptions; please respect private property there. In town, the public library is a favorite with visiting families.
